Project 2 - INTERIORS

After briefing from Dr Syarmila Hany Haron about our next projects which is our second projects and it is all about interiors.We are requested to draw 2 projects .

• Project 2A - Aesthetic (Pleasant View)
• Project 2B - Defect (Unpleasant View)

Drawing Requirement :

• Draw any view - Part of bathroom / Inside refrigerator or kitchen / Drawing wrapped objects / Chair with something or someone in its seat with environment / Architecture Buildings / Any observed interiors or buildings. 
• Use water colour / pencil colour
• Use dark for contrast, definitionand shadows
• Exaggerate the values to get a good range form lights to dark

Before we start drawing , we need to know what is figure ground?

MY FIRST LECTURE CLASS ^^

Time : 9.00am-12.00pm

In HBP , RUS104-Integrated Studio was my first lecture class i attended.There are total of  242 students crowded in one lecture hall. After the briefing from lecturers ,we were told that all of us will be study together for the 1st semester and will be divided into 12 groups follows by our major course.As i knew, most of my school mates were  form 6 student , and others are from diploma and matriculation. Hence, i am a polytechnic student, whereby i was taking electrical engineering course during my diploma. So construction course consider  a very new subject to me. This 'huge' class will bring me new challenge and new life in USM whereby we need to work as a team with all my schoolmates from different course , personality and  background. I just can't wait to know more friends!!


This Integrated Studio RUS 104 mainly focus on

•  Sharing knoweldge with each other .
• Team work.
• Pro-active
• Enjoyment with others programme
• Train stdudent to - up-to-date knowledge.

Our coordinator for Integrated Studio RUS 104 is Dr Mazran Ismail. After the speech and intro about Integrated Studio giving by our coordinator followed by others lecturers introduce themselves to us.

Once the talk and briefing end,  there goes 2 assignments in the 1st lecture class.I should have expected it cause when i first moved in to USM during my first week orientation week. I was told by one of the HBP senior  - HBP  stand's for ('H'antu 'B'alik 'P'agi ) whereby my school was the most busy school from the previous recorded.Student were busy complete their work in studio until the next morning only they will walk back to their hostel.Anyway , i will take it all as a challenge for myself and create something that is impossible to be happen.That is work hard for it and it will lead me to success in future.

Just one week ago , for our project 11 - I was been told to create our personal VIRTUAL PORTFOLIO  ( i.e a Blog). I think this is a really good idea to record all our hard work during our whole semester in RUS 104 studio and things we had learn , share with the world .It could be a reference for us to be refer and as a memories which we will never find it anymore in other places.

The project 1A- Personal Logo which required us to draw our personal logo and we need to explain our logo based on our design.
The Project 2A- Stewardship was to draw our own self-potrait by sketching and descript ourself .

Project Instructions and Requirements :

• Create a ' Personal Logo' that best reflects your personality and strengths.
• Clarify the design of the logo by describing the rationales for design elements used (such as line, colour, shape , form )
• The descriptions should be hand written (pen ink) and the logo design should not be more than 200mm x 200mm size.

Based on all the information given by my group coordinator Dr Radzi .We start our project .

My Personal Logo 

I chose this design is because i love nature.A tree is best represent it and most important is we need to know our roots. The roots i mean is not refer to the roots of the tree .It mainly means the source of our succeess whereby we should remembered where we came from , it include our family , friends and also our beloved lecturers who teach us a lot.

INTRODUCTION

My name is Yip Pui San  ( matric no : 114828) ,born in Ipoh since 1990 .I'm the 1st year student in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which i am a student of Construction Management from School of Housing , Building & Planning (HBP) and now i am currently staying in Desasiswa Bakti Permai.
