In week 11 , once again we are given a new project which is also a last project  .This time we are going to have a big project, so our we in group which will need to work together to complete 3 parts.

Project 9A : Design Proposal >> Batu Ferringhi Information Center

Based on the opted site , we need to conduct a site analysis and gather all required information.This project is mainly to proposal a design of Batu Ferringhi Information Centre on the selected site based on our previous project 8.We been told that we need to have our own concept in our design.

As we had been told by Sr Dr. Md Azree Othuman Mydin  , we need to design a single -storey information centre with a floor area not exceeding 200 square meters and we are free to chose any dimension.Besides, we are required to obtain  a 'plot plan' of the opted site by buying it (mention the number of land lot) at the counter of JUPEM (Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia ,Penang).Schematic design (conceptual sketches and bubble diagram) as a basis for design are necessary in the project 9A.We must also ensure that the design consists of only 3 basic spaces : lobby (reception, sales area & waiting area ) , exhibition space and toilet.

We also been told that we need to present the board to our lecturers. We need to include all the date and information in 4 different boards in  A1 size.

Board 1 :

• Key Plan , location plan and analysed site plan (existing condition)
• Site Analysis Information

Board 2 & 3  :

• Schematic Design (Design concept) >> Conceptual sketches & bubble diagram
• Presentation Drawings >> proposed site plan ( floor plan , front elevation , rear elevation , side elevations) , perspective drawings :(2 exteriors and 2 interiors) , 1 interior section drawing (showing lobby & exhibition hall)

Board 4 :

• Material selection
• building service ( focus on fire prevention& control system ) ,(building security system)

From all the details and requirement are clearly explained by Sr Dr. Azree and also adviced by our Group 8  studio master ; Dr Suraiyati Rahman. We start to collect information and data .

Project 9B : Development Proposal 

After we completed our project 9b , we move on to our project 9A .
For project 9B we required to prepare a report of development proposal of Batu Ferringhi Information Centre. The proposal should consists of the elements ;

1. Purpose , goal and objective (ALL)
2. Background study and site analysis (PL)
3. Proposed design development (ARCH , ID)
4. Construction Method , Material Selection & Building Services (BS, BT)
5. Elemental cost analysis (QS)
6. Project Scheduling (CM)

Project 9C :Conceptual Model

Before the day we present and hand up our projects . We are surprised that Dr Azree bought us each group a big cake to support us.  Almost day and Night for 2 weeks we been working so hard to complete our projects.I really can see the good and support energy from him to us. We really appreciate all of this , not because he send us a cake. But we can see through his heart that he really wan to lead us to a good future . ''Dr , you are a person i respect in life so much'' Thank you Dr. Moreover , others lecturers also did advice us and teach us , without all your words and advice . Learning from our mistake .We are nothing.Really a big thankyou to all of the HBP lecturers!
